It is believed that after defeating Ravana, Lord Rama stopped here to pray to Lord Shiva to absolve the sin of killing a Brahmin (Ravana, though a demon king, was a Brahmin by birth). The temple is revered for Rama’s act of devotion and purification. - Then Visit Manavari Temple.
This is the very first place where Lord Rama installed a Shiva Lingam to seek atonement, and the lingam here is known as Ramalinga Shiva, as it was personally consecrated by Rama — making it one of only two Ramalingams in the world.. - After Visiting the temple then proceed to Sigiriya or Dambulla.

Close to this cascading waterfall is a region believed to have been part of Hanuman’s landing zone when he first arrived in Lanka in search of Sita. According to legend, his powerful leap shook the landscape, and his footprints are believed to be imprinted on nearby rocks. - Visit Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple.
Situated on a hilltop, this temple marks a location believed to be visited by Hanuman during his search for Sita. The large Hanuman statue here honors his unwavering devotion and strength. - Stay overnight at Ramboda.
