Terms and Conditions
Welcome to SL1 Travels. These Terms and Conditions govern your booking and use of our services, including vehicle hires, hotel reservations, and tour packages. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.
Booking Process
Reservations for vehicles, tours, and hotels can be made through email or written communication. Once your request is received, we aim to confirm your booking within 48 hours.
Accommodation Arrangements
If your selected hotel is fully booked, we will secure a room at a similar hotel nearby, ensuring the same quality and location convenience. We strive to provide accommodation matching your expectations.
Check-in & Check-out:
Standard check-in is from 12:00 PM or 2:00 PM onwards. If you wish to check in earlier, please inform us in advance. Early check-in is subject to hotel approval and may require an additional fee payable directly to the hotel.
Late check-out between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM incurs a 50% room rate charge. Check-out after 6:00 PM will be charged at the full nightly rate.
Payment Terms
Hotels bookings
For hotel bookings, a 10% advance payment of the total booking amount is required. If the total amount is less than USD 100, the full amount must be paid as a deposit via bank transfer. This deposit includes any bank or credit card processing fees.
The remaining balance can be paid to SL1 Travels once you arrive in Sri Lanka.
Vehicle Hire
For vehicle bookings, an advance payment of USD 20 is required to confirm the reservation. The remaining balance is split into two payments: 50% payable upon arrival in Sri Lanka, and the final 50% due halfway through the tour.
When paying in cash upon arrival, we accept multiple currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, and Sri Lankan Rupees. We recommend cash payments to avoid extra charges.
Pricing and Taxes
All prices include government taxes and service charges, but may be subject to change if these fees are increased by authorities.
Cancellations and Refunds
Deposits are generally non-refundable except where otherwise stated in our refund policy. No refunds are given for unused services including accommodations, tours, meals, or transport.
Liability and Travel Insurance
SL1 Travels acts solely as an agent and is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, or delays caused by circumstances beyond our control (e.g., strikes, natural disasters). Travelers must carry valid travel documents and obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellations, medical emergencies, and personal belongings.
Vehicle Standards and Chauffeur Service
Our vehicles are modern, insured, and air-conditioned, suitable for various group sizes from 1 to 45 passengers. Our chauffeurs are professional, courteous, and available with multilingual guide services upon request.
